About This Event

RUMUN Season 2 is a two-day Model United Nations conference simulating real-world legislative and international bodies. Delegates represent assigned countries or stakeholders across multiple committees, engaging in structured debate, drafting resolutions, and negotiating on contemporary global issues. The conference returns for its second edition with a refined committee selection and an expanded delegate experience.

Event Format

The conference runs across morning and afternoon sessions on both days of Unnayan 2026. Delegates participate in committee sessions following standard MUN procedure — moderated caucuses, unmoderated caucuses, resolution drafting, and voting. Four to five committees operate in parallel.

Eligibility

Open to students of Classes 11 and 12 from participating schools in the coverage region.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Delegates must adhere to assigned country or stakeholder positions.
  • Committee rules of procedure will be circulated before the event.
  • Formal dress code applies as per conference guidelines.
  • Resolutions must follow the prescribed format and submission deadlines.

Judging Criteria

  • Research and position accuracy
  • Participation in debate and negotiation
  • Quality of resolutions and amendments
  • Diplomatic conduct and collaboration

  • Best Delegate awards per committee
  • High Commendation and Special Mention recognitions
  • Best Position Paper (committee-wise, as applicable)
