Pitching Competition
Student teams pitch original startup concepts to industry judges with Q&A and a grand final round.
About This Event
A startup pitching contest where student teams present an original business concept to a panel of industry judges. The competition develops entrepreneurial thinking, presentation skills, and the ability to defend an idea under questioning.
Event Format
Teams submit a brief concept abstract during registration. On the event day, the preliminary round consists of a five-minute pitch and three-minute Q&A before a panel of judges. The top eight teams advance to the final round with an extended pitch before a senior panel.
Eligibility
Students of Classes 11 and 12 in teams of two to three members.
Rules & Guidelines
- Business concepts must be original work of the presenting team.
- Preliminary pitch: 5 minutes; Q&A: 3 minutes.
- Final round timings and format will be shared at briefing.
- Slides or props only as permitted in the event guide.
Judging Criteria
- Innovation and feasibility of the idea
- Clarity and persuasiveness of the pitch
- Responses during Q&A
- Team cohesion and presentation

- Winning team and runners-up
- Best pitch delivery / best concept (as announced)
